NYC’s hellotones “El Hijo de PueblaYork” returns to Chicago with his signature Kumbias Mezcladas, a nonstop mix of all flavors of Cumbia that has taken him across the country and across the globe. hellotones invites San Jose’s Turbo Sonidero and Mextape , seasoned Cumbia pioneers innovating the genre while honoring its roots as they tour internationally. Local support by Chicago’s own Sonido TrumbullShadow 99 – carrying the legacy of the original Sonidero format of Cumbia, he bridges the gap between traditional sounds and the modern dance floor.

Watching DJ Boring in action is the antithesis of his mundane pseudonym; vibrant, energising, fun and full of passion, Tristan Hallis puts his all into every set. Over the last few years he has ascended rapidly thanks to his dazzling displays, impeccable selection and high quality productions. The Australian selector takes great pride in his digging capabilities, constantly searching for lesser-known gems from years gone by, and pairing them up with more recent cuts that are equally exceptional. Since he arrived with 'Winona' in 2016, DJ Boring has continued to push forward and demonstrate his abilities on stage, in the clubs, at festivals and behind-the-scenes in the studio. He has an innate ability to blend seemingly disparate styles. His debut on BBC Radio 1's legendary Essential Mix and an amazing Boiler Room appearance at Lost Sundays exemplify this DJ style, but tune in to any of his streams, recorded sets or, better still, see him in person and you're bound to be left buzzing by his sheer dynamism. In the studio, the producer has honed in on a contemporary sound that pays homage to the roots of dance music. His productions are birthed in hardware and imbued with Hallis' energetic personality -- a human touch which can often be lacking in many productions today. This trait shines through in his new live show where hardware and controllers become a natural extension of his creative self, a conduit through which he presents a fresh take on his music. Cryberbully is a Chicago-based artist, designer, and DJ. Cryberbully's style spans from creating dreamy ambient mixes to hot and sweaty club mixes. With the goal of creating atmosphere and a world outside of your own, Cryberbully will transport you to other realms.
SHOW ME THE BODY Show Me The Body (SMTB) was formed in New York City in 2009. They released “Yellow Kidney” independently in 2015 followed by the “SMTB” EP released via the Letter Racer Collective that same year. After signing with Loma Vista and releasing their debut album “Body War” in 2016, SMTB began touring the US and Europe. Upon returning home the band began a collaborative mixtape project called “Corpus 1” released in 2017. The mixtape featured a broad range of artists and friends who SMTB felt were comrades and innovators, marking the beginning of a community effort spearheaded by SMTB known as Corpus. In the same year, SMTB released a two song Ep called “Challenge Coin”, recorded at Electric Lady Land not far from where the band originated. Between the fall of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 SMTB produced and recorded three projects. All projects; “Grudge 2” by Dreamcrusher, “Machines Smoke” by Tripp Jones, and “Enemy” by Dog Breath, were released via Corpus. In 2019 SMTB presents their sophomore album, “Dog Whistle,” produced by Chris Coady, Show Me The Body, and Gabriel Millman (original drummer and in-house producer). Dog Whistle was written in Long Island City, Queens and recorded in Los Angeles California in the summer of 2018. Band Website Spotify Facebook Instagram WHISPERS Self-designated as “Bangkok Evilcore” Whispers, based out of Thailand, are bringing an immense sound to modern metallic hardcore. Originally formed in 2014, the band picked up steam in 2021 with the release of their Narok Bon Din EP grabbing international attention. Now Whispers join the growing roster of pivotal heavy music label Flatspot Records for the release of Yom-Ma-Lok. Hitting the studio in Spring 2024, Whispers set out to make a heavy, intense record that connects on an emotional level. The band worked with Suchai at Sixthirty Recording Studio in Bangkok to hone in on their sound, before sending the EP to Andy Nelson at BrickTop Recording for mixing and Brad Boatright at Audiosiege mastered it. Influence from bands like All Out War and Merauder comes through across the seven songs, giving a tough as nails delivery packed with menacing riffs. Thematically, Yom-Ma-Lok addresses realism and human nature through a global perspective. Over the years, Whispers has brought their menacing live show across Southeast Asia, Japan, and Europe, and will return to the latter this fall on the Flatspot World tour. With the release of Yom-Ma-Lok, Whispers are setting out to spread the message and sound of Asian hardcore far and wide. KAYA The success of Kaya, an openly bisexual, fabulously flamboyant cross-dresser, was a wake-up call for Japan’s notoriously conservative music industry. Born Tatsuya Kasei on July 17, 1983 in Tokushima, he started out in music in 1999 under the name Hime (Princess) in the short-lived visual kei bands Meties and Isola, but his career really started to take off when he met Hora, keyboardist of the band Velvet Eden. In 2001, they formed the gothic electro-industrial duo Rudolf Steiner, named after the 19th century Austrian mystic. They attracted the attention of famous producer Mana — former guitarist of the massively successful Malice Mizer — who signed them to his own label, changing their name to Schwarz Stein (pseudo-German for Black Stone). At the same time, Hime changed his stage name to Kaya, after the name of the legendary bird karyoubinka. Kaya’s clear, pure, yet powerful tenor was especially suited to Hora’s dark electronic music, and the duo’s two albums, New Vogue Children and Artificial Hallucination, acquired cult status both in Japan and around the world, especially in Europe. In 2004, they split over musical differences, disappeared from the scene for two years, then reunited briefly in the project Another Cell before launching solo careers. Spotify Instagram PANIC PRIEST Panic Priest is the darkwave-centric project of Chicago-based “dark crooner” Jack Armondo, who channels themes of death, sex, and doomed romance into haunting anthems for our turbulent times. By blending atmospheric synths, soaring guitars, dancefloor-driven beats, and commanding baritone vocals, Panic Priest creates emotionally charged and infectious midnight melodies that stand at the forefront of the modern darkscene. Known for his electrifying one-man live performances, Panic Priest fuses hard rock energy with the pulse of hook-laden, danceable dark pop. Since his acclaimed self-titled debut in 2018, Armondo has toured and shared stages with Light Asylum, Vision Video, ACTORS, and Twin Tribes, and performed at Cold Waves, Absolution, Terminus, Sanctum and Verboden. Anybody familiar with Hail The Sun will know there's always a great deal of meaning beneath the surface. Theirs are songs that probe the very nature of existence, that strive to find the answers to the fundamental questions that being human raises, and that don't flinch away from any form of self-reflection whatsoever. That's been the case since the band—lead vocalist Donovan Melero, guitarists Shane Gann and Aric Garcia, bassist John Stirrat and drummer Allen Casillas—formed in Chico, CA in 2009, but which is especially the case on cut. turn. fade. back, their seventh full-length. Indeed, even for a band whose album titles veer between being suggestive of something more and existentially profound, this record truly goes the distance, encompassing the complete cycle of life with its four monosyllabic words.
