Leili Grzybowski / Oyeme & C Mikhail / Preston Woolsey

'leili', a queer singer-songwriter based in Logan Square, Chicago, loves to explore themes of family ties, unresolved memories, and love with its relation to nature. Her guitar and vocals lend themselves to telling the story of how every human can resonate with a piece of art, no matter how different their lives have been. Using pedal effects to fill the room with sound, 'leili' loves to put her all into her performance, leaving nothing unspoken. Wedding energetic folk with experimental electronic textures and a resounding 'get me the hell out the suburbs' sentiment, Oyeme and her band stretch the distance from Appalachia to downtown Chicago by folding the map in half and poking a hole through it with a pencil. On the upcoming EP "Dead End Neighborhood," Oyeme embarks on her first non-solo outing exploring intimate five-piece midwestern folktronics and elemental road trip throw downs. Preston Woolsey, hailing from Missouri City, United States, is a talented musician who delves into the captivating genres of Pop and Indie Pop. With his unique blend of infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Woolsey has carved a niche for himself in the music industry. Woolsey's music effortlessly combines the catchy hooks of Pop with the introspective and experimental nature of Indie Pop. His songs are a delightful blend of upbeat rhythms and introspective storytelling, creating a captivating musical experience for his listeners. From start to finish, Woolsey's tracks are a rollercoaster of emotions, taking the audience on a journey of self-discovery and reflection.

Primitive Broadcast Service / DWELLS / Claw Toe

Primitive Broadcast Service (PBS) is an experimental rock trio from Milwaukee with a reputation for noisy, politically-charged content and fun, high volume live shows. The band released their 3rd full length album, 'Monsters', June 4 on the Seismic Wave Entertainment label. This is their first Chicago show since the release of the new album. Tracked at Electrical Audio in Chicago and Wreckage Industries in Milwaukee, 'Monsters' is a collection of "heavy, angular, dissonant pieces of music, written from the environment around them and routed through whatever field recordings happen to come within reach of a microphone" (IDIOTEQ.com). The working term for the PBS sound: urban skronk - a Midwest noise form of protest music. The recurring them of 'Monsters', throughout the dissonant hum, heavy drum and street noise: Love Still Exists. The current lineup is J.D. Morgan (guitar, vocals), Andy Steffenhagen (bass), and Bryan Dorn (drums). RIYL - Unsane, Shellac, Unwound, Sonic Youth. Introspective and literary, Dwells fills the space left behind where doubt has spent the long, dark night gorging itself on your deepest fears. Lurking and settling in, at least it's warm now. Claw Toe is a Chicago-based post-punk and garage rock band.
