About this event
Tommy Kessler (they/he) is a St. Louis-raised, Chicago-based singer, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, and, above all else, electric guitarist. Having played guitar since the ripe age of nine, Tommy has developed a style all their own that informs the idiosyncratic musicality that imbues all of their projects, which pull from elements of rock, pop, metal, hip-hop, and industrial to create something truly original. Chicago's Dedmet make brooding, combustible post-hardcore for combustible times. With hints of patient, Slint-ian post-rock, downtrodden slowcore, and noisy punk, the quartet's compositions are heavy on dynamics and carry an ominous, obscured mood. The result is a live show that's designed for maximum catharsis. The Living Head is a Chicago noise-rock band that blends harsh electronics with sweeping slide guitars and organic textures.
