The Last Waltz was a concert by the Canadian-American rock group The Band, held on American Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The Last Waltz was advertised as The Band's "farewell concert appearance",[2] and the concert had The Band joined by more than a dozen special guests, including their previous employers Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan, as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, and Neil Young. The musical director for the concert was The Band's original record producer, John Simon. Grab dinner before the show at BABYGOLD BARBECUE ***PARKING*** There is rather limited street parking in the area, we recommend arriving by rideshare, bicycle, or rickshaw.

Blake Zweig is a Chicago-based indie-folk singer-songwriter blending delicate guitar work and subtle harmonica with introspective, hopeful vocal melodies. Drawing inspiration from artists like Neil Young, Mike Kinsella (Owen, American Football), Elliott Smith, and Damien Jurado, his warm, mindful and heartfelt performances leave audiences feeling relaxed, uplifted, and thoughtfully connected. Al Rose is a mesmerizing, challenging, insightful and ultimately delightful songwriter with a unique command of wordplay combined with considerable musical acumen that is captured on his 8 album releases. His albums have received critical praise along with extensive airplay on AAA and Americana stations throughout the US and Europe. The Chicago-based performer has played coast-to-coast and has toured in Europe and Japan. He captivates audiences whether he's solo live or accompanied by any number of his band, The Transcendos, in any configuration. This drives the songs each night, but the songs have always been what drive the musicians. As a craftsman, Al's honed his songwriting to a fine edge. He's got a real gift for melody, and each line cuts just the way he wants—whether to make you laugh or cry. He's backed up the words with catchy, well-nigh addictive tunes. It's a kind of protest music:he's sounding the alarm against complacency. Evrod Cassimy, NBC Chicago Morning Anchor & Singer/Songwriter, presents Standing on Christmas Live 2026 presented by Disparti Law Group. Singing since age three, Cassimy is an accomplished artist with six albums to his name. He has opened for acts like Boyz II Men, En Vogue, Patti LaBelle, Tamar Braxton and more and his music has been heard on radio stations across the country including Chicago. The NBC 5 News anchor is also a philanthropist and donates all proceeds from his music to charity, more than $200,000 to date. The donations include money for student college scholarships and thousands of dollars to support families experiencing hardships during the holidays. This FREE charity concert benefits Springboard to Success, a Chicago Housing Authority non-profit partner. Hosted by Cassimy's co-achor, longtime NBC 5 News anchor Michelle Releford, Standing On Christmas Live 2026 celebrates the holidays and Cassimy's album of the same name. Urban Twang is lead by the quixotic songwriting team of Lead Vocalist Trish Clausen and guitarist Max Twang who are joined by cellist Molly Rife, a native of Tucson, AZ, who is also a member of the 30-piece critically praised band Mucca Pazza.Urban Twang has a resumé that boasts opening for nationally touring acts, songs appearing in indie films, numerous performances for radio and television, and is still gathering new fans that enjoy their music.

DogTime! is a new work by Chicago bassist, composer, and interdisciplinary artist John Sutton. This seven-piece ensemble will explore experiences of duration, repetition, instinct, and attention. Structured as four movements --Hunter, Herder, Guide, Guard-- the work explores combinations of repetition and pulse as fundamental elements shaping musical time. Through improvisation, the ensemble navigates distinct environments, moving between stability and uncertainty. Sutton's practice spans creative music, composition, film scoring, and collaborative performance. Working within traditions of free improvisation, jazz, and experimental forms, he develops systems that create space for individual expression within collective structures. DogTime! extends this approach into a performance that invites musicians and audiences alike to consider their relationship to time and presence, through which our experience takes shape. This project is partially supported by an Individual Artists Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.

Terrapin Flyer, formed in the fall of 1999, has since become a beloved fixture on the national music scene, playing regularly at venues and music festivals across the country. The band has a dedicated following among fans of The Grateful Dead and other jam bands, and is known for their authentic renditions of Dead songs. Over the years, Terrapin Flyer has toured with many great, notable musicians including Melvin Seals from the Jerry Garcia Band, Vince Welnick, Tom Constanten from the Grateful Dead and many other Dead-related musicians. Terrapin Flyer's shows are always lively and dynamic; their music always gets audiences dancing and singing along.
