SOLD OUT - Bill Callahan (solo) w. Rick Maguire (of Pile)
My Days of 58 is the eighth Bill Callahan album, his first since 2022. The twelve tunes here open uncanny depths of expression as Bill continues to blaze one of the most original songwriting-and-performance trails out there. With My Days of 58, he applies the living, breathing energies of his live shows to the studio process, sharpening his slice-of-life portraiture to cut deeper than ever before. The core musicians featured on My Days of 58 is the group that toured for 2022's REALITY: guitarist Matt Kinsey, saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi and drummer Jim White, whose synergy was evident in 2024's live Resuscitate!. This showed Bill, as he puts it, , "rdquo" -> that they could handle anything I threw at them," adding: , "rdquo" -> Improv/unpredictability/the unknown is the thing that keeps me motivated to keep making music. It's all about listening to yourself and others. A lot of the best parts of a recording are the mistakes---making them into strengths, using them as springboards into something human."
Madds Buckley
BIO In an increasingly artificial world, singer-songwriter Madds Buckley is staying undeniably human. An RIAA Gold-certified artist with more than 2 million monthly listeners, Buckley pairs clear vocals with unexpected melodies and a deep-rooted instinct for storytelling. Her music sits at a unique intersection: honest, accessible, and highly personal storytelling that often incorporates themes found in anime, video games, and narrative-driven media. Even at its most fantastical, her music never loses sight of what’s real. Following My Love Is Sick, Buckley continues to evolve with a new run of releases, including “Overboard,” “Concept Without Proof,” and “Human to You,” ahead of her forthcoming album Simple Binary and a Complex Phrase(out October 16). Expanding her sonic and thematic scope more than ever before, the album interrogates the artificial to get to the heart of what’s most real: loving, losing, and persevering through the pain. **$1 from each ticket will be donated to Conscious Alliance TICKET EVENT INFORMATION: This event is UPSTAIRS This event is ALL AGES All sales final, NO refunds or exchanges, events are rain or shine. Shadan Red, Aliejha, and Geddy Trezak
Shadan Red is a Chicago-based folk singer/songwriter whose music explores the unnamed and uncomfortable emotions we all experience. She began producing her own music in 2023 and is inspired by musicians like Phoebe Bridgers, Sarah Kinsley, and Jeff Buckley, to name a few. Her EP titled "between you and i," which will be released on all streaming platforms November 13th, is her at her most vulnerable, tackling topics such as relationship anxiety, the process of moving on, and wishing things could stay the same. Aliejha is a 22-year-old Chicago-based singer-songwriter whose wistful acoustic folk sound merges elements of country and ambient textures. Accompanied by stripped-back production and forefront vocals, Aliejha's songwriting captures the quiet beauty of sheer vulnerability. Geddy Trezak is a young midwestern musician who expresses his thoughts, personality, and growth through his writing in a way that excites and connects with the world around him. Ever since he was 14, he has been writing, recording, and performing. In early 2025, he released his first album, a collection of Beatle-inspired melodies paired with minimalistic production and maximalist arrangement he calls Demolition, and has been winning over audiences across the Chicagoland area ever since.
Great Lake Swimmers w. Colleen Brown
Capturing light is not easy: ask any outdoor photographer. In order to capture the perfect shot, one has to be ready for fragmentary shifts in illumination. In that spirit, Caught Light is Great Lake Swimmers' ninth album, and perhaps their most nimble: be prepared, don't overthink, act fast. Founder Tony Dekker has always been akin to a wildlife photographer, often choosing to make records in unique surroundings with a connection to Ontario history. This time, he holed up in the Ganaraska Forest, between Peterborough and Port Hope, with producer Darcy Yates (Bahamas) and engineer Jimmy Bowskill (Blue Rodeo). Their goal was to tap the warmth of early '70s folk/pop/rock, whether it be the cozy sonic sweater of Gordon Lightfoot's classic work, or the gentleness of underrated American songwriter Dory Previn. Dekker made everyone listen to John Martyn's 1971 album Bless the Weather before the session. For the first time, Dekker ceded control to a producer, albeit one who had once been the bassist in Great Lake Swimmers (2007-08). Yates chose the studio and the backing band, which included veteran drummer Gary Craig (Bruce Cockburn, Jann Arden), who Dekker calls , "rdquo" -> the Jim Keltner of Canada." Tracking was completed in three days, Nashville-style, with only two days of overdubs, including Colleen Brown's backing vocals. Compare that with 2023's Uncertain Country, which took three pandemic-stricken years to make. Caught Light was captured in the shortest amount of time Dekker had ever spent making a record, and it's likely to be the one with perhaps the longest impact. That's because Caught Light is not just the most fully realized Great Lake Swimmers album in years, but it also leads off with two of Dekker's strongest singles. , "rdquo" -> One More Dance Around the Sun" is an open-window, summer-driving song to accompany a golden-hour trip through the backroads of your childhood hometown. Dekker himself moved back to the Niagara area during the pandemic, with his partner and two young children. , "rdquo" -> I spent the first half of my life trying to get out of the small town where I was born and raised, and I'm spending the second half getting back there," says the songwriter who lived in Toronto his entire adult life until now. , "rdquo" -> It's an ode to the familiarity and the joy in that and the repetition of seeing the same faces and places, knowing all of that very well. It's also important to feel grounded in community, to feel the power of that in a specific place, keeping one's moral compass fixed in the right direction."
Strawberry Guy
Wednesday, November 11 Strawberry Guy * Jean-Luc Eldenwood $35 / All Ages / Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 7:30pm When Alex Stephens (A.K.A. Strawberry Guy ) self-released his debut single in 2018, he was merely doing it out of a love for songwriting. What he wasn’t expecting was millions of streams and an avid worldwide fanbase. A one-man impressionist, painting majestic soundscapes, Strawberry Guy blends truthful lyrics with lush arrangements to conjure new emotive worlds. Inspired by composers of the Romantic period, or Debussy, Ravel, and other classical artists of the 1800s, his wonderland moves like a Monet painting where arpeggios dance between meadows of dazzling dynamics and dramatic key changes. Imitating nature’s effect on emotion, like 70s songwriters, or the fantastical soundtracks accompanying vibrant scenes in the Japanese animated Studio Ghibli films and video games, landscape is brought to the fore. Monet’s picturesque Meadow at Giverny features as the album’s accompanying artwork – perhaps a reminder of the rural Welsh countryside views through his childhood home’s window.

Having evolved from their understated slowcore beginnings in Austin, Texas, they're now seasoned veterans of the scene. Across their first five studio albums, the duo established their trademark sound of twangy indie rock, 2000s-inspired pop-country, and emotional acoustic ballads with strong pop sensibilities. Their last two records saw them processing life's most intense emotions more openly than ever before, from declarations of love in its many forms on 2021's True Love, to grappling with loss and personal change on their latest self-titled album, Hovvdy. But the songs of Big World have them trading in overt emotional directness for subject matter that leans enigmatic, contemplating their place in the world through a mosaic of songs that sees the band at their most secure and self-aware.
Soul Message Trio
CHRIS FOREMAN Chris Foreman is a masterful musician and heir to the throne occupied by the soulful, bluesy jazz organ legends who were once his influence. Blind at birth, Foreman started playing piano at age five and began formal training at seven. As a teenager he was attracted to the organ sounds of Jack McDuff, Groove Holmes, JimmySmith and Jimmy McGriff. This attraction led Chris to pursue playing jazz on the organ, which he undertook through intensive study of recordings. Unlike many African- American musicians whose musical knowledge begins and is established through the church, Chris didn't start his apprenticeship as a church organist until he was almost twenty years old - well after his jazz roots were established. He has arrived at a most exciting blend of blues-gospel and jazz and has developed a stunning command and range on the instrument. The blend of his sound is evident in his professional experience, which has included work with Hank Crawford, Albert Collins, Bernard Purdie, The Mighty Blue Kings and Deep Blue Organ Trio. GREG ROCKINGHAM Drummer Greg Rockingham began playing when he was just three years old and debuted as a professional musician at age five in his father's jazz ensemble. An alumnus of the famed Interlochen Arts Academy and Northeastern University, he has won numerous musical awards from the Notre Dame Jazz Festival. Greg has performed or recorded with a wide range of famous names, including the orchestras of Glenn Miller and Guy Lombardo, vocalists Freddie Cole, Patty Page and Jerry Vale and instrumentalists Nat Adderley, Kenny Burrell, Charles Earland, Irene Reid, Ellis Marsalis, Nancy Wilson, and Deep Blue Organ Trio. GREG JUNG Greg Jung is a Chicago based alto saxophonist, originally from Albany, NY. He earned a Bachelor's degree from SUNY Purchase where he studied with Jon Gordon, Ralph Lalama, Gary Smulyan, Mark Vinci, Steve Wilson, Todd Coolman, Jon Faddis, Hal Galper, Charles Blenzig and others. In 2014 Greg won the Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition, and traveled to perform that year in Paris, France. He spent three years in NYC before deciding to travel the country, performing in clubs and on the street in many of America's great cities and small towns. It was in this way that he ended up in Chicago, where he has performed at venues like the Green Mill, Andy's, Winters, Hungry Brain and the Chicago Jazz Festival. Since emerging onto the scene, he has shared the stage with many of the world class musicians that reside in the city. Greg received the Chicago Luminarts Cultural Foundation Fellowship in 2023.

Mother Soki, Alana Markel
**Mother Soki** is among a generation of new artists forging their paths and creating music that attracts fans seeking a soul connection. That creativity led her to sign with independent label Mom+Pop early in 2025. A bit farther back in her trajectory, Mother Soki wasn't even clear about how to pursue music. Carving her way through adolescence with a fierce artistic drive, though, the Minneapolis-based musician discovered her passion for making music while attending college in Chicago. Attempting to pursue other forms of art and avoiding what was her true calling, Mother Soki says, “I realized it was far more fulfilling than any art medium I had tried (and I’ve tried a lot), from beginning to end, and even after. Something about the process of music felt so natural to me, even when I did not know how I was doing it, I was just doing it.” Now immersed in her passion for music, Mother Soki gravitates toward the dreamy textures of Dream Pop and the sonic nostalgia of the ’90s. Drawing daily inspiration from her surroundings, she channels her creativity through classic influences: The Sundays, Imogen Heap, and Cocteau Twins. Her sound blends modern interpretations of vintage synths with heavy guitars and airy, spacious vocals—creating contrasts that shouldn't work, but somehow do. Mother Soki makes the unexpected feel seamless.
