MUNA?s journey has always been about bringing to light the complex, messy, ecstatic realities of life, and with their fourth album, Dancing On The Wall, they?ve never been sharper, darker, or more exhilarating. Emerging from the sparkly, confetti-strewn heights of their 2022 self-titled record, MUNA now channel the raw, anxious, and sweat-soaked energy of living in a city (Los Angeles) of unrelenting heat, a corrupted world wrought by political tension, and the quieter and more personal pressures of millennial precarity and heartache in these uncertain times. The result is a record that feels both intimate and spectacular: a fast-paced, hard-edged dance pop world built with teeth, wit, and emotional resonance?a soundtrack for hearts on fire amidst the tumult of modern life. A portion of the proceeds from MUNA?s Get So Hot Tour will go to The Ally Coalition and their work supporting LGBTQ Youth and Queer Migrants across the US.

Mike Reed's The Separatist Party announces their new album, Sing the Color Blue (out October 23rd via Thrill Jockey) and, in conjunction, release its lead single, "New Angels." Sing the Color Blue is a recording assembled over years of sessions, rehearsals, false starts, and renewed approaches, eventually becoming a document of both persistence and transformation. It reunites Mike Reed with Rob Frye, Cooper Crain, Dan Quinlivan (all of the trio Bitchin Bajas), Marvin Tate, and Ben LaMar Gay in a set that moves between composition, reconstruction, improvisation, and song form. The unusual length and shape of Sing the Color Blue's creation is part of what gives the album its character. Elements reach back across nearly a decade, with initial band tracking beginning in January 2022 at Constellation in Chicago and the majority of the recording completed between November 2023 and April 2024 at Electrical Audio. This approach is something Reed refers to as "collage recording." The title Sing the Color Blue also reflects that spirit of transformation.

With Paul Asaro on piano and Peter Ho on cornet, this group captivates the room with hot solos, sweet melodies, and authentic Chicago style.
