Sabertooth Organ Quartet

Founded around 1990, Sabertooth is led by two saxophonists: Cameron Pfiffner & Pat Mallinger. The band started out with the unique pairing of its two lead reedmen at an old musicians hang called Jazz Bulls in Lincoln Park West neighborhood of Chicago. From that night's collaboration the idea of Sabertooth began to take shape with a driving force behind the widely varied stylings best summed up as, 'just groove it'. Sabertooth has often ventured beyond soul-jazz and hard bop and moved into post-bop and modal territory with John Coltrane's modal recordings of the early to mid-'60s influencing the groups sound. Sabertooth is both a post-bop group and a soul-jazz/hard bop group with a highly diverse repertoire that includes many original compositions and jazz classics by Duke Ellington, Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, Lester Young, John Coltrane, as well as covers by the Beatles, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Bob Marley. Special invited guests who have performed with Sabertooth have included Harry Conick Jr., Kurt Elling, Joe Lovano, Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis Band, Jack McDuff, Joey DeFrancesco, Umphrey's Mcgee Band, and many others. Sabertooth has also performed for numerous jazz festivals, concerts and private engagements.

Thalia Hall·Pilsen

Ripe presented by Thalia Hall & Deep Cut with Boys Go To Jupiter

Ripe remembers sweating to hell in a basement underneath a Subway sandwich shop, building their very first songs in a concrete cube that smelled like fresh bread. They remember selling their first tickets by hand outside the coffee shop that their friends worked at, holding court like twenty-something impresarios trying to move like 50 tickets to a bar that was willing to let you keep the ticket sales if they kept the bar. In a world where we constantly feel the loving pressure to "tell our story", where so many of our friends that have found success as artists have done it alone, Ripe is using their bio to tell you that at the center of everything is collaboration and community, a friendship that has become a bond as strong as family, a constantly spinning object that cannot be properly captured by any single still photograph. This moment, the two songs already out and the new songs coming, catches the band in a moment of intense joyous swelling energy. Working in dream studios, in a city they spent years trying to take a proper chance on, with a producer that had made albums we loved in our formative years, alongside the closest musical relations we've formed. This is our love letter to complicated nostalgia, to relentless empowering change, to realizing that making dreams come true (just like a crisis) only fully makes sense when it is shared. Joy in the wild unknown let us tell you who we were. Bright blues had us ripped apart so we could start again. What comes next is the band swinging for the fences, all in at the table, risking everything for a shot at feeling connected to you. Thank you for being here. Cryogeyser

BIO Since their 2019 debut album Glitch, Cryogeyser has delivered a steady arc of distinctive melodies—both sonically mesmerizing and cathartic. Reflecting years of breakdown, renewal, and lucid introspection, Cryogeyser finds the band at their most evolved, fortifying existing strengths and exploring new sonic sensibilities: huge, gritty guitars, blissful pop melodies, surreal soundscapes, and tenderly immediate vocals. Cryogeyser have shifted their earlier vision of longing and resistance to one of metamorphosis, and cemented a spellbinding sound that realizes their transfigurative trajectory. Each song on Cryogeyser invites listeners to submit fully to landscapes that illuminate the viscerality of transformation. “This album is about heat,” singer Shawn Marom explains. “Capturing ice and holding it forever—even as it melts—knowing you’re burning but staying in orbit.” Across the album’s sonic thresholds is a transfixing, heartfelt drive that celebrates the warmth that can emerge from new realizations. “Before music, I often felt like I took up too much space,” they reflect on Cryogeyser, which marks a deeply personal evolution. “This album is about transforming that shame into something shimmery and hopeful—playing like myself and no one else.” In immersive dedication to vulnerability, change, and the inevitable passage of time, the collection encapsulates the band’s journey and is a testament to Cryogeyser’s ethos: burning curiosity and fearless exploration of seemingly immutable grief. Alana Springsteen: I Hope This Helps Tour

A fearless storyteller with an unshakable sense of self, Alana Springsteen has built her career on telling the truth, no matter how messy or hard-fought. Across high-concept projects like her three-part debut album TWENTY SOMETHING and her highly anticipated sophomore LP I HOPE THIS HELPS—a boldly autobiographical body of work due out May 29—the 25-year-old artist-songwriter has carved out a vital space for raw catharsis and unfiltered reflection. A multi-instrumentalist with an uncompromising vision, Springsteen plays guitar and piano throughout her albums and co-produces all her material, shaping each song with hands-on precision that underscores her identity as both author and architect. Rooted in country but unbound by its edges, she pulls freely from alt-pop and beyond, building a sonic world as expansive as it is emotionally exacting. Born and raised in Pungo, Virginia—a one-of-a-kind region where farmland meets beach—Springsteen's connection to music began in church, where she first found her voice as a child. By age seven, she was teaching herself guitar and writing her own songs; at ten, she began traveling to Nashville for co-writing sessions with industry heavyweights. After making her landmark debut with TWENTY SOMETHING—a 2023 release featuring her GOLD-certified smash "goodbye looks good on you (feat. Mitchell Tenpenny)"—Springsteen earned massive praise from outlets like NPR and PEOPLE. A powerhouse live performer who commands rooms of any size, she has headlined her own TWENTY SOMETHING TOUR; performed at major festivals like Stagecoach Festival; toured internationally across Europe, the U.K., and Australia; and supported superstars like Luke Bryan, LANY, Keith Urban, and NEEDTOBREATHE. With countless milestones to her name—including her Tiny Desk debut in 2024 and a No. 1 hit with "Hot Honey," a collaboration with multi-platinum DJ/producer Tiësto—Springsteen's momentum is undeniable.
