The Steve Bomar Trio is led by drummer, percussionist, and composer Steven Bomar. Joined by Leon Lewis-Nicol on piano and Simon Ciaccio on bass, the trio blends jazz tradition with gospel influence and original compositions drawn from Bomar's debut album, Our Higher Purpose. A Bellwood native with credits spanning Clara, Fulton Street Collective, and the Athenaeum Center, Bomar channels a wide emotional range—from joy to reflection—into a dynamic, groove-forward set. As always, Relax Attack delivers Chicago's top jazz talent every Tuesday and Wednesday in a lively room filled with cocktail-shaking and spirited conversation.
