Fulton Street Collective presents a performance with BASEMENT COLLECTIVE and BEN BRANDA QUARTET on Wednesday, September 23rd at 7:30pm. The evening will feature live painting from visual artist TBA. Basement Collective is a progressive-fusion group of instrumentalists with the goal of expressing wild creativity and pushing the boundaries of their musical knowledge. Their compositions are unique blends of jazz, classical theory, prog-rock, and metal, resulting in sonically diverse and richly dynamic musical expression. Ben Branda is a professional jazz saxophonist (alto and tenor), composer, and music educator based right here in Chicago, Illinois. A Chicago native from the Old Town neighborhood, he has performed at notable local venues including the Jazz Showcase, The Whistler, Navy Pier, and the Montrose Saloon.

After spearheading the alt - country movement with Uncle Tupelo, Jay Farrar pursued his vision with Son Volt, who recorded three landmark albums in the 90s before the groundbreaking artist put the band on extended hiatus and cut three solo LPs. Missing the free exchange of ideas and the surprises that inevitably occur when a group of simpatico musicians lock together, Farrar assembled a new lineup of Son Volt in 2004 and has since released nine albums. The latest album, Sound Signal Serenades , was released a s a special 2026 Record Store Day limited edition LP. Jay Farrars work often seeks out the ghosts of Americas discordant or forgotten past, converses at length with them, and writes songs that stake a claim to a better future.

Hailing from Bangor and Donaghadee, Northern Ireland's Two Door Cinema Club first gained attention with their debut album 'Tourist History' which included singles like 'What you Know' **, 'Something Good Can Work' and 'Undercover Martyn' mixing guitar-driven, post-punk hooks with dancey, electronic polish, The album released in 2010 hit number one on the Irish chart, landed on the BBC Sound of 2010 Poll and went on to be a globally lauded debut record taking them from their garage where they wrote the album in Bangor to the main stages of festivals around the world. Two Door Cinema Club features singer/guitarist/programmer Alex Trimble, guitarist/singer Sam Halliday and bassist/singer Kevin Baird. Trimble and Halliday met in school, and then hooked up with Baird through mutual friends. The trio began writing in Trimble?s parents garage and skipped going to university to focus on the band, fortunately, the gamble paid off.

This show celebrates the release of Jacob McLeod's new album! Jacob McLeod became obsessed with music, specifically indie folk/rock, during the lockdown of 2020. With time on his hands, he discovered his passion for performing and creating his own songs, inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan and Hozier. Now 21, he's made a name for himself as one of the premier upcoming songwriters and performers in the state of Michigan. After years of extensive touring, writing, and recording, he is now on the cusp of his sophomore album, MICHIGAN-20. Allie Kessel is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Chicago. Allie possesses a unique musical style pulling influence from folk, soul, and classic pop music. Whether listening to her live or on a recording, Allie captures you with her soothing melodies and heartfelt words. Since their 2010 self-titled debut, The Secret Sisters have brought their spellbinding harmonies to songs that untangle the thorniest aspects of life and love and womanhood. In the making of their new album, Mind, Man, Medicine, Alabama-bred siblings Laura Rogers and Lydia Slagle found their songwriting transformed by a newfound sense of self-reliance and equanimity, threading their lyrics with hard-won insight into the complexities of motherhood, commitment, compassion, and self-preservation in an endlessly chaotic world. Theres a line in Same Water that says Mind or man or medicine/I have tried them all, which feels like it encompasses everything we were trying to say on this record, Slagle explains. In a lot of these songs were struggling with our own minds and emotions, with our relationships, and with whatever were using to try to cope and find relief.
