Storied Stuff: Show and Tell for Grownups - Benefit for Humble Design Chicago

Free, with a suggested door donation of $10. All proceeds will go to Humble Design. Founded by Steve and Sharon Fiffer in 2020, storied-stuff.com offers brief pieces written by writers and non-writers alike about cherished keepsakes accompanied by photographs. Two volumes of these pieces were recently published. Eight writers will read their pieces and show their keepsakes to benefit Humble Design Chicago, a not for profit that transforms lives by furnishing homes for families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and into stable housing. "Storied Stuff is this poignant collection of the things we hold on to. But at its core it's about family and friends and community, about connections, a reminder to hold close not only to objects but also to the people we love." - Alex Kotlowitz
