S.R. Batterson with Emmy Woods

About this event

“Wilderness. The word itself is music." S.R Batterson points to this quote by the great outdoors writer Edward Abbey as a kind of compass for his songwriting. But, he also likes to say the reverse is just as true, "Music. The word itself is wilderness." His writing invites you on an expedition into the wild that we must go out to find, and that is inside all of us. Emmy Woods (she/they) was born and raised on an old dirt road in rural North Dakota and currently resides in Saint Paul, MN. With hints of country, folk, and blues, Emmy’s songs showcase her knack for storytelling, her strengths in musical artistry, and her ethereal voice.
