Madame Starlet w/ The Growing Boys, Daru

About this event

madamestarlet is a Chicago based genre-defying singer/songwriter, and producer whose music blends rock, pop, trip-hop, electronic, and dance into a world entirely her own. Inspired by the innovation and showmanship of Janet Jackson, Madonna, FKA Twigs, and Massive Attack, she creates music that feels both nostalgic and futuristic, pairing infectious melodies with cinematic storytelling and a striking visual identity. Backed by her live band, The Stars, Madamestarlet delivers electrifying performances filled with raw energy and emotion. From songs like baseball bat, LoveTakeover, to UNDER YOUR SKIN, her newly released debut album Opus is a music lover's paradise. Immersive, sensual, theatrical, with multiple genres and palettes for all. Growing Boys, a Chicago-based indie folk band, blend grassroots melodies with lyrics steeped in nostalgia, longing, charisma, through ear catching, timely storytelling. Daru (formerly known as Darumakjo) is an open format Chicago DJ and producer who specializes in blending the styles of house, bounce, jersey, trip hop, ballroom, techno, kuduro, etc. He is best known for hypnotic high energy sets and for the afrocentric party he co-runs called JIVE. His immersive sound and technique encourages movement and welcomes dancers of any expertise.
