Lydia Cash:Lydia Cash's sophomore album Violet was recorded at Wilco's Loft studio and is slated for release June 5th. Channeling the dreamy grit of The Cranberries and the unfiltered angst of Alanis Morissette, Violet is vulnerable, honest, and defiant - a glittering ode to radical self-love and female empowerment.Cash writes candidly about her life; her delicate melodies woven with alt-rock angst showcase this native Alabamian/Chicago transplant's dichotomy of grit and sweetness. Orillia:Under his moniker Orillia, Andrew Marczak follows the long tradition of folk music's more progressive stewards, commanding audiences with his unique bracing tenor and skeletal arrangements. His debut self-titled record, which was tracked completely live, acoustic, and straight to tape at Jamdek Recording Studios in his hometown of Chicago, marries the quotidian poetry of Sam Shepard with the direct, sparkling twang of 90s alt-country. Mikey Harms:Mikey Harms is a Chicago-based musician blending folk intimacy with art rock ambition. His music walks the line between vulnerability and volatility, pairing poetic storytelling with raw, textured soundscapes.
