Adéla Jergová (born 27 November 2003), known mononymously as Adéla (stylised in all caps), is a Slovak singer, songwriter and dancer whose bold pop sound and provocative artistry have quickly established her as a rising global pop figure. Originally from Bratislava, she first garnered attention in 2023 as a contestant on the survival series The Debut: Dream Academy, a global search for a multinational girl group produced by HYBE and Geffen Records. Among over 120,000 applicants, Adéla was selected as one of the final 20 contestants, and while she was eliminated early, executives noted her strong potential for success as a solo artist rather than within a group environment. Adéla began her solo career independently with the release of her debut dance-pop single Homewrecked in September 2024, a confident introduction that showcased her vocal presence and performance skills. She followed this with the electro-pop single Superscar in October 2024, a track that addresses industry exploitation and ambition with sharp lyrical commentary. In February 2025, Adéla released MachineGirl, co-produced by Grimes, blending futuristic pop with introspective commentary on public perception and online narratives. Later in July 2025, she released DeathByDevotion, expanding her thematic range, and in August 2025, SexOnTheBeat arrived with a provocative visual identity that played with hypersexual imagery while critiquing industry expectations. On 22 August 2025, Adéla released her debut extended play The Provocateur through Capitol Records and Polydor Records, distributed by UMG Recordings. The seven-track EP blends pop, house, electronic and hyperpop elements, unifying themes of ambition, exploitation, sexuality and personal agency into a cohesive artistic statement. Critics and publications noted its fearless approach to challenging norms and its fusion of dramatic storytelling with bold sonic textures. To support the EP, Adéla embarked on The ProvocaTour in October 2025, her first headlining concert series. She also opened for American singer Demi Lovato on the It’s Not That Deep Tour in 2026, further expanding her presence on the international stage. In 2026, Adéla entered a new era with the release of KGB, the lead single from her upcoming debut studio album. The track continued her electronic-pop influences while introducing a more personal and reflective approach to her songwriting. KGB became one of her most successful releases, surpassing 20 million streams on Spotify. Later in 2026, Adéla released Red Bottoms, a follow-up single that showcased a more melodic and emotional side of her artistry. Drawing inspiration from 2010s pop while maintaining her signature theatrical sound, the song expanded her musical direction and surpassed 6 million Spotify streams. Both KGB and Red Bottoms serve as introductions to Adéla’s upcoming debut studio album Prima, which releases in September 2026 and is expected to embrace the nostalgic energy of 2010s pop while combining modern electronic production, dance influences and her signature themes of ambition, identity and creative independence. Adéla’s music is marked by candid lyricism, dance-forward production and a willingness to confront industry expectations, positioning her as a distinctive voice within contemporary pop. Her visual and thematic boldness—especially evident in tracks like SexOnTheBeat, MachineGirl, Superscar, KGB and Red Bottoms—reflects a commitment to authenticity and creative autonomy that continues to shape her rapidly evolving career.
